Empire Club guide — everything to know before you come

This page gathers what guests ask most about Empire Club: where it is, what the room looks like, what music to expect, how to choose a table and how to reserve. One read is enough to invite your friends and settle the plan for the whole night.

What Empire Club is and where to find it

Empire Club — “An Empire of the Night” — is a nightclub in the full sense: a DJ booth, a stage, a dance floor and a team serving at your table. The address is 8 Nguyen Van Trang, Ben Thanh Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. Many guests search for “Empire Club Saigon”, “Empire Club District 1” or “Empire Saigon Club”, and every one of those names leads to the same door.

The difference is the genre. This is not a quiet place for talking over soft music: the house sound is Vinahouse and EDM, played without a break from opening until close to sunrise, and the whole room is built so that every eye turns toward the stage. If you want somewhere to get up and dance with your group, this is it; if you need calm for a long conversation, pick somewhere else.

Opening hours are 8:00 PM to 4:00 AM every day, holidays included. A window that long lets you split the night into two rhythms: arrive early to pick your spot and ease into the atmosphere, or come later when the floor is full and the music is at its peak.

Inside the room: stage, lighting and details you will recognise

In the main room the first thing you see is the stage. Behind the DJ booth stands a golden crowned eagle emblem flanked by a pair of golden dragon sculptures, closer to a golden throne than to a plain backdrop. That cluster of shapes is why photos from Empire are recognisable at a glance, even when it only catches the corner of a frame.

Overhead, LED screens and moving lights change the whole ceiling from song to song: pink and violet washing across the floor, teal with laser beams sweeping diagonally, or red and orange when the eagle-shaped LED stage lights up. The vaulted ceiling and patterned wall panels reflect the light, so the room feels deeper than it is. Moving heads and lasers cover the entire space, which means wherever you stand you are inside the main lighting.

A runway runs from the stage out into the dance floor. On show nights it is where a performance moves closer to the crowd; on ordinary nights it is a sightline that lets the tables on both sides see each other and the stage. The floor is wide — the club’s current information puts capacity at 1,000 guests — enough that a group is not squeezed when the music peaks.

On performance nights you will see confetti and glittering flakes drifting over the room and a forest of phones raised to film. It is a familiar picture at Empire: guests do not only listen, they want to keep the moment.

Music and show nights

The house sound at Empire Club is Vinahouse and EDM led by DJs through the night. These are the two styles that Vietnamese crowds pick up fastest: strong beats, familiar hooks and a crowd that sings along to almost every line. The DJ stands on the central booth, so from any table you can see the person steering the room.

Besides DJ sets, the club runs live show nights where artists perform on the stage, sometimes on the main platform and sometimes stepping out close to the audience. The schedule changes by the week and by the season, so the most accurate way is to call the hotline or message on Zalo on the day you plan to come and ask what is running that night. We do not publish a fixed timetable here to avoid out-of-date information.

A small tip: if you want to be close to the music with a clear view of the stage, say so when you book. If someone in your group would rather sit a little further from the speakers to talk, you can ask for a suitable area from the start.

Table zones and how to choose for your group

The Empire Club floor plan is divided into several table zones. At the top is the DJ table. Just in front sits the dancer platform in the middle, with a U-shaped ring of D tables wrapped around it. On either side of the platform are tables V1 to V8, the closest to the stage. Below runs a band of tables V9 to V16 across the room, and then the rear zone with tables from V17 onward, its own walkway and a service station.

Understanding the plan makes choosing easier. Tables by the dancer platform and on both sides of the stage carry the strongest energy, suited to groups who want to stand up and dance near the performance. The band across the middle is the balance point: a clear view of the stage with a little distance. The rear zone sits near the walkway and the service station, convenient for groups that move around or add people during the night.

On seating levels, Empire Club offers VIP and VVIP tables with private sofas facing the dance floor, discreet hosting and table service, plus a private VIP room option for parties that need more seclusion. Private rooms are limited each night, so tell us in advance. We deliberately leave prices out of this guide because they change by day; staff will give exact figures when you get in touch.

The quick way to choose: send the number of guests, the occasion and the zone you like. The team will propose a suitable open table and hold it for your group.

Which occasions suit Empire Club

From real photos and the packages currently on offer, Empire Club suits three occasions especially well.

  1. Birthdays with friends: a lit “Happy Birthday” board is carried to the middle of the room, with a cake, flowers and a DJ shout-out. Give the name of the guest of honour and the planned time when you book so the club can prepare.
  2. Company parties: sound, lighting and a full MC package on a ready-made stage, right for large groups that need a room big and lively enough for everyone to join in.
  3. Anniversaries and dates: a private table for two with decoration on request, in a room loud enough that your own conversation stays private.

How to reserve a table

Reserving at Empire Club is free and needs no deposit. The process takes four short steps:

  1. Choose the date and the expected number of guests. Weekends and holidays fill early, especially VIP tables and private rooms, so booking a few days ahead gives you a better choice of zone.
  2. Send your request in one of three ways: fill in the reservation form on the website, call the hotline or message on Zalo at 0905 806 518.
  3. Wait for confirmation: the team contacts you by phone or Zalo within about 15 minutes to settle the zone, number of guests and special requests such as a birthday or decoration. A table is held only after you confirm with staff.
  4. Running late or changing plans: call the hotline in advance so the table is not given to another party. To change the date or cancel, let us know at least 2 hours before your booking; since no deposit is taken, you lose nothing.

Getting to Empire Club

Empire Club is at 8 Nguyen Van Trang, on the stretch between Nguyen Trai and Cong Quynh streets, inside a familiar fashion-shopping district of District 1. It is about five minutes by vehicle from Ben Thanh Market, about seven from the Nguyen Hue walking street, and a short hop from the Pham Ngu Lao area. In the evening the shops around here close one by one, so the street is clearer than by day and easier to reach than you might expect.

The frontage stands out with a row of black arched windows set tight together and the Empire sign lit in the middle, easy to spot as you arrive. Parking arrangements change with the crowd each night, so call the hotline before you come. Staff will point out the nearest spot for that day, and on your first visit just call when you arrive and someone from the club will meet you.

Good to know before you arrive

Empire Club serves guests aged 18 and over, so bring an ID in case staff need to confirm. For clothing the club asks for smart casual or stylish: nothing elaborate, but guests in shorts, tank tops or flip-flops are not admitted. Long trousers and closed shoes are the safest choice.

If you are coming in a large group, nominate one person to make contact so all details about the table, arrival time and special requests go through a single point. If anything is unclear, the team answers the hotline around the clock and replies directly.
